ELEVATION ACADEMY

for Varsity/Collegiate athletes with 2+ years training experience

For athletes age 15-21 who know their way around a weightroom & are ready to take their training & athletic career to the next level. We will spend 3 days refining  technique & form of the big lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, overhead press, bench press, clean, jerk & snatch), as well as testing out muscular strength & endurance in those lifts. We will review & refine plyometric drills for explosiveness, running form, & speed/agility drills. We will also spend time reviewing warm up & mobility techniques for injury prevention,  setting & reviewing goals for the upcoming seasons, & discussing best practice protocols for champion athletes. Athletes will wrap up our final day with an in-house, friendly competition, to see who can put into practice what they’ve learned, perform their best & keep their cool under duress!
 

transition ACADEMY

for JV/varsity athletes with less than 2 years training experience

For athletes age 14-17 who have been training at The Ub for less than 2 years &/or have basic knowledge of weight training & conditioning. We will spend 3 days drilling  technique & mechanics of the big lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, overhead press, bench press), & learning correct movement patterns for the olympic lifts (clean, jerk, snatch). We will review & refine plyometric drills for explosiveness, running form, & speed/agility drills. We will also spend time reviewing warm up & mobility techniques for injury prevention, setting & reviewing goals for the upcoming seasons, & discussing best practice protocols for champion athletes. Athletes will wrap up our final day with an in-house, friendly competition, to see who can put into practice what they’ve learned, perform their best  & keep their cool under duress!


FOUNDATION ACADEMY

for new-to-weightlifting &/or 12-15 year old athletes

For athletes age 12-15 who are new to The Ub &/or weight training/conditioning all together. We will spend 3 days perfecting body positioning for basic movements (squat, push up, plank, pull up, jumping, running), learning correct technique for the big lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, overhead press, bench press), working on controlled weighted movements like goblet/dumbbell squats, presses, swings & deadlifts.. We will review basic plyometric drills for explosiveness, running form, & speed/agility drills. We will also spend time reviewing warm up & mobility techniques for injury prevention, setting & reviewing goals for the upcoming seasons, & discussing best practice protocols for champion athletes. Athletes will wrap up our final day with a fitness test to determine their baseline & have a solid starting point to track & improve upon.


ALSO: Focused Academy Training

Each month, RATA Athletes will participate in a workshop specific to one of the following elements of well-rounded fitness: jumping, speed, power, strength, mobility, & nutrition. During each 2 hour session, we will focus on proper movement mechanics, core bracing for athletics, best practices for stretching/mobility/recovery/injury prevention, &/or nutrition & supplementation for enhanced performance & muscle growth, $20 per Academy for non-RATA athletes
